Sarah

I drove up to West Jordan to visit Sarah who used to teach at my school but recently got married and moved to Utah. She had only been there two days when I went to see her! I hope she enjoys her new house and area!

Picnic in the Park

I was so excited to get together with a few of the girls that I went to UVSC with and were in the same cohort. I LOVE these girls!!! I had so much fun with them! We hadn't seen each other since we graduated over four years ago (well, Jen and I had for a little bit a few years ago but still)! We didn't skip a beat we caught up, laughed a lot, and shed a few tears. Our little picnic ended up lasting three hours and I got sunburned, but I loved every minute of it!!!
Meg and her darling girl Jane.

VeNecia and I.

Jen with her two kids Hannah and Landon.

These boys were so great to these two little girls. We didn't even know them but the two girls got branches and started flirting with these boys! Seriously they started by coming up from behind and smacking them on their bums. Then they started playing with them while they where also playing frisbe with their friends. I should learn some flirting techniques from these sweet girls, but I really don't think that hitting boys in the rear is really going to get me anywhere, but you never know! ;) What amazing boys to keep these two occupied for quite a while. Only in Orem/Provo do you let your kids play with strangers!

My first rental car

I feel like a grownup now! It was a 2009 Mazda 3. I was really disappointed that it didn't have automatic door locks or windows!!! Really???

Chihuly: The Nature of Glass

Rachel and I went to the Desert Botanical Garden to see all of the amazing glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly (who is from Seattle). The sun.

We call this one the lolly pop.

We did see a few flowers that we thought were pretty, but really the glass was what was fun to see. Believe it or not, all these flowers are actually cactus flowers! Who knew?!?!?

Yes, there are trees in the desert. And of course I am drawn to them! :)

We call this one the ice burg.

We think this one looks like tall skinny birds.

Roasted marshmallows???

I liked the color of this one.

We also went to the butterfly exhibit there.

There was a really beautiful blue butterfly but it was always fluttering around so I couldn't get a picture of it. Sad :(

I overheard someone saying that this was a bad hair day!

Grandma's Birthday!

The clebrating continues! Grandma didn't want us to do anything for her birthday so we finally just had to surprise her at her house!

New Fashionable Hairdo!

Brought to you by Bri.
I just about died laughing when I noticed her hair! I have no idea how this one group of hair decided to become perfectly straight and stick straight out! (It looks like two but one is a shadow.)

Are you talking about me???

End of the year again!

I can't believe that I just finished my fourth year of teaching! During the last week of the year it felt like we had just had our first day of school, yet on the other hand it seemed like they were in my class forever! Sad, but happy and ready to relax...and travel!
Love notes on the board. :)

I can't put pictures up of my kids so you just get to see my bulletin boards.
